Welcome to Dynamic Yield! Using Dynamic Yield, you will be able to implement 1 to 1 personalization, segmented behavioral targeting, testing and optimization, product recommendations, and more. If this is your first time using Dynamic Yield, we recommend checking out the Technical Fundamentals Learning Path in the Academy.
Note: This article is relevant for Sites using the “API” platform. If you want to run server-side API based campaigns on website platform, see this article.
The following items need to be configured before you can get started:
- Define identifiers for each of your users and their sessions in your code. These identifiers will be needed to deliver personalized content. For more details, see Best Practices.
- Create an API key to identify yourself in all API calls. Learn more.
- Report pageviews on any pages in your site that do not have campaigns. This will allow you to track overall pageviews, and create audience of users who visit pages that campaigns are not running in. Learn more.
- Sync your product feed with Dynamic Yield. This file should contain your entire product catalog information (image, URL, price, etc.). This is used for displaying product recommendations, behavioral targeting (e.g. users with an affinity for specific color), and more. Learn more.
