How to track clicks in Custom Code or Visual Edit campaigns

Custom Code and Visual Edit campaigns do not have CTR metric in default. That's because these campaigns do not insert a specific HTML in a specific position on the site.

If you wish to track clicks on some element on the site as part of a Custom Code campaign, or a Visual Edit campaign, there two options:

• Add a click event listener to the element that you wish to track, trigger an event to report a click to Dynamic Yield. Use the event as a metric in the campaign report.
• Create a unit based on the element, create a goal for the unit and use it as a Primary Metric in the campaign report.

  Hello Kian, 

  May I know what kind of click event listener should be added? Do you have the link of article that can share to me? 

   

  In addition, the link in  "trigger an event to report a click to Dynamic Yield. Use the event as a metric in the campaign report." is not functioning.

  It indicate "You're not authorized to access this page". May I know more about the content in that link?
