Modifying elements not contained in the HTML

Certain DY campaign types include elements that do not appear in the HTML of the variations, e.g. Overlays and Notifications. Nevertheless, these elements and their styling can still be modified using the CSS tab of the variation using the following method.

• Navigate to the campaign on the site.
• Open the elements tab of the Chrome dev tools and select the element you desire to modify.

 

• Right click and choose “copy selector”, and paste it into the CSS tab.

 

• Make the desired modifications and save the re-publish the campaign. 

 

This method should allow you to access elements created by the campaign that do not explicitly appear in the HTML of the campaign and can be useful for changing the size, color or visibility of these elements.
