Product View campaigns help re-engage users who viewed a product detail page (PDP) but left without adding the item to their cart or making a purchase. These campaigns are designed to revive user interest with personalized content based on the products they browsed.

Trigger conditions
The campaign is triggered when a user views a product detail page.
You can choose to:
- Trigger upon any product view
- Limit to views of products with a specific property (such as category or brand)
- Exclude views of products with specific properties
Wait time
This is the delay between the product view and when the message is sent.
- The default (and recommended) wait time is 3 hours
- For high-intent audiences, use a shorter time of 1-2 hours
Send to
You can choose to:
- Send to all users
- Target specific audiences based on behavior, geography, customer status, or any other available filters.
Don't send if (cancel conditions)
By default, the campaign is canceled if the user:
- Adds any product to their cart
- Purchases any product
- Starts a new session
You can customize the cancel conditions as follows:
- Apply then only to products with specific properties
- Replace them with custom events and filters from the dropdown in the campaign editor
Important: This campaign type has the potential to generate a high volume of messages, so take care to configure it to your needs.
Message content configuration
Product View campaigns support the following message variable types:
- Recently viewed items
Use data from product feed fields, such as:- Product name
- Image
- Price
- Category or brand
Include multiple variable slots to show several products. This enables grouping of multiple products viewed within a short time frame. If the user viewed fewer products than the number of variables used, the extra slots remain empty.
- Recommendation blocks
- Use view-based strategies and set Reconnect App as the page type
- Applicable strategies include:
- Viewed Together
- Similarity
- Recently Viewed
- You can pass the viewed products as context in the Variables tab
- User data
Use fields from your User Data feed to personalize messages, such as loyalty tier or loyalty points.
