You can exclude certain activity and visitors from your reports by filtering out certain IP addresses and ranges. Once an IP is excluded, all activity from that address will not be monitored. Excluding certain IP addresses from being monitored is common practice among businesses who frequent their own digital assets regularly (developers, QA engineers, marketers) to ensure that internal activity does not skew reports and running experiments.
- Go to Settings › General Settings.
- In the IP Filter section, click Add Filter.
- Use the Exact Match, Range, or RegExp options to define the IP address(es) to filter out. You can add as many filters as necessary.
- Click Save. You can add another filter, edit an existing filter, or delete one at any time.
