You can exclude data collection from specific IP addresses. For example, to prevent internal or test activity from affecting your reports. When Dynamic Yield identifies a user with an excluded IP address, it does not collect pageview or event data for that user.
You can still serve campaigns to users with excluded IP addresses. However, these users do not qualify for behavioral targeting, multi-pageview conditions, or email triggers. Personalized recommendation strategies serve a fallback algorithm when one is available.
Filtering IPs
- Go to Settings › General Settings.
- In the IP Filter section, click Add Filter.
- Use the Exact Match, Range, or RegEx options to define the IP address(es) to filter out. You can add as many filters as necessary.
- Click Save. You can add another filter, edit an existing filter, or delete one at any time.
Note: If you're running API campaigns, you must pass the user IP address in every Experience API request payload.
