Algorithm Studio is an Experience OS app that empowers marketers and data scientists to create custom algorithms that address unique business needs. A user-friendly interface enables you to quickly generate algorithms to use in your recommendation campaigns.
Use Algorithm Studio to create custom recommendation algorithms tailored to your business goals. Algorithm Studio supports ranking algorithms, which rank products based on their performance and attributes, and semantic algorithms, which identify relationships between products based on a theme you define.
→ Algorithm Studio is available only for e-commerce sections.
Algorithm types
Algorithm Studio supports two types of algorithms:
- Ranking algorithms: Rank products based on their performance and numeric attributes from your product feed. You define the factors to consider, the relative weight of each factor, and the time frame for evaluating product performance. See Create a Ranking Algorithm in Algorithm Studio.
- Semantic algorithms: Part of the AdaptML package, semantic algorithms use AI and semantic understanding to identify relationships between products based on a theme you define. See Create a Semantic Algorithm in Algorithm Studio.
Managing Algorithm Studio
The Algorithm Studio dashboard displays the algorithms created for the current section and provides tools for finding and managing them.
- Create Algorithm: Create a new ranking or semantic algorithm.
- Columns: Select which columns are displayed in the algorithm list.
- Search: Search for an algorithm.
- Filter by Type: Display ranking algorithms, semantic algorithms, or both.
The algorithm list includes the following information:
- Name: The algorithm name.
- Description: The factors and relative weights defined for the algorithm.
- Type: Whether the algorithm is a ranking or semantic algorithm.
- Status: The algorithm's current status.
- Strategies: The number of strategies that use the algorithm.
- Date Created: The date the algorithm was created.
Use the options menu at the end of an algorithm's row to edit, duplicate, or delete an algorithm.
Use the checkboxes to delete multiple algorithms (only possible for algorithms not in use).
