How to trigger by event without requiring page load/reload?
Hello,
We've made a survey via DY that asks a customer what they're shopping for, personal or professional use.
Their response to this survey fires an event which we've made the basis of two audiences.
Now we'd like to personalize the customers experience based on their response, for example, change banners on-page, hide the contact number from personal customers etc.
I would think that this would work by creating a new campaign which is triggered by the event (in this case "survey_results" which fires when a customer engaged with the survey. Then each experience would represent the changes we'd like to make and would be served to each audience via targeting criteria (the 'who' section).
However, it doesn't matter what I do the campaign that is meant to trigger once someone responds to the survey will not fire until the page is reloaded or you go to another page.
I have tried triggering the campaign by:
- Element click (elements being the surveys radio buttons)
- Mouseover element (the second, thank you page, of the survey)
- Event ("survey_results" the OOTB event name for exit intent survey pop up campaigns)
and more...
Please can someone tell me how i do this? It feels very restrictive to prevent personalisation without a page reload and i can't imagine it's an actual requirement.

Dear Mike,
Thank you for providing details on your campaign setup.
Yes, you should be able to target the second campaign based on the event that is triggered once users click on the survey results in the first campaign. However, it is important to explore what other targeting conditions are added and what type of campaign is the second campaign. For example, if additional audience targeting is added and when users would fall under this audience (which might be the next page).
Considering this, please contact your Customer Success Manager or Technical Account Manager to look into the specific setup and suggest the best approach in your case.
