How are you handling ad blockers that can prevent DY experiences?

    Hey Anneke-

uBlock Origin is the only one I see really affecting my customers.
This customer is now considering the hybrid or server-side approach to DY.

Before you go any drastic route, I think it is important to check your data to see how many of your users actually use this tool?

    Hey

Thanks for your feedback Jake. Yes - i downloaded Ublock myself as a test and the DY experience disappeared from the site for me.

How do you check data to see who is using an ad blocker?

Would also be really great to know which ad-blockers have already whitelisted DY so that i can feed that back to my teams here to provide reassurance.

    Hey Anneke-

To answer the first question: I would suggest a test. Set up a campaign and build an audience of all users who see/experience the campaign and compare it against you total site visitors. The difference is those (most likely) affected by an adblocker.

The two most common adblockers utilize EasyList and EasyPrivacy.
While we've been whitelisted on most, uBlock Origins and Ghostery are two we see the biggest issue with.

One last thing: to test if any adblockers are blocking DY you can test yourself:

    1) Install the popup extension yourself.

    2) In DevTools, test three network calls:

    -cdn.dynamicyield.com

    -st?

    -px?

This will help test if the extension blocks:

    -Serving Content ('cdn.dynamicyield.com' and 'st?')

    -Collecting data ('px?')
