Question about "Purchased together" recommendations

When using the "Purchased together" recommendations, does it roll up products to the item_group level, or is it sku-specific?

For example let's say I have item_group ABC, which contains two skus: 123 & 789. If I'm showing users purchased together recs for sku 789, is it only going to be based off of items that were purchased with 789 specifically, or will it be based off of items purchased with any sku in item_group ABC (ie both 789 and 123)?

Let me know if that doesn't make any sense

  Hey Ben, 

   

  For Purchased Together strategies all calculations are done at the Group ID level to make sure there is enough data.
