How does DY detect Product Views?

Hello, 

we are getting started with Recommendation Strategies and I guess, I am missing some Basics here on how the Popularity Algorithm works. 

By definition: 

If I got it right, for "purchase" and "add to cart" I need to Implement the right ecommerce Events (add-to-cart-v1 and purchase-v1), but where does the product view comes from? Is there an event for that as well or is it just a pageview of a page that has pageType + SKU as PageContext?

  Hey Tommaso, 

  Yes, Product views are calculated based on the script on the page and then allocated based on the context of the page. so if you have your script and context implemented there is no other action needed for product/page views.
